Kate Hudson vs Cameron Diaz, Get Alex Rodriguez Trophy

Top Tinseltown publicist Brad Cafarelli, who represents both Kate Hudson and Cameron Diaz, didn't respond to our numerous phone and e-mail messages yesterday about a report in the new issue of Us Weekly. The magazine claims that the rivalry between the actresses reached an all-time, tense high, after A-Rod, 34, recently hooked up with Diaz. 37. "Kate hates Cameron," an insider tells the magazine. "She's pissed Cameron is dating A-Rod."
Hudson's said to be convinced Diaz is striking back at her, because the "Almost Famous" star hooked up with Justin Timberlake in 2007 -- only days after Diaz ended a four-year relationship with him.
"Kate thinks it's payback, pure and simple," the insider told Us Weekly. But things have been tense between the women for some time. Hudson has been happy to remind pals that she scored a coveted spot in the musical "Nine" that Diaz had craved.
"Kate thinks Cameron is an aging old-lady actress struggling to remain sexy and relevant," a source close to Hudson said.

The new issue of Us Weekly reports that the feud between Kate and Cameron began after the Knight and Day actress was seen leaving Alex's Central Park West penthouse with overnight bags on May 2, fuelling rumors that she was dating him.
It is believed that Cameron, 37, is sleeping with Alex, 34, to pay back Kate, 31, who started romancing Timberlake in January 2007, just days after Cameron split with him.
"Kate thinks it's payback, pure and simple," the New York Post quoted a source as telling Us Weekly.
The magazine claims rivalry between the actresses reached an all-time, as Kate reportedly exclaimed that Cameron is an aging star who is trying hard to keep her youthful looks, struggling to keep sexy.
The "Nine" star Kate dated A-Rod last year and was in every New York Game and also went to some of Alex’s practice. According to an insider, Kate was so desperate for Alex that she even got breast implants post split to hold on to him, but it didn't work.
Unlike Kate, Alex wants to keep his relationship with Cameron casual. The baseball star reportedly has banned Cameron from coming to his games because he wants to keep a low profile relationship.
"He doesn't want what happened to him and Kate to happen between him and Cameron. Kate was at every New York game and then some and even went to Alex's game practice. Things got too clingy, too fast," TVNZ quoted an insider as saying.

An insider believes Diaz is bedding Rodriguez as a form of retaliation after Hudson hooked up with Justin Timberlake in January 2007 — just two days after the couple of four years split.
In an effort to hold on to Rodriguez, one source even contends that Hudson (who has a son, Ryder, 6, with ex-hubby Chris Robinson) got breast implants postsplit to appeal to the Yankee's preference for "busty women."

Cameron and Alex were recently spotted dining at NYC’s Macao Trading Company and Hotel Griffou. And photographers caught Cameron leaving Alex’s apartment early in the morning on May 2.
It’s all sad news for Kate, 31, who was “mortified” when she heard about Alex, 34, and Cameron, 37, a source tells OK!. “She’s desperate to get back together with Alex,” the source says, “and finds it humiliating that he’s chosen Cameron. She really likes Cameron, but she’s always felt a bit competitive with her.”

According to Us magazine, Hudson believes Diaz hooked up with the Yankee playboy to retaliate against her after she hooked up with Diaz’s ex Justin Timberlake in 2007, just two days after the couple split. Now, Hudson is jealous that the “aging old-lady actress,” as she reportedly called her, is shacking up with Rodriguez.
Meanwhile, Rodriguez has told new flame Diaz, 37, not to come to Yankee games, after Hudson was spotted at nearly every game during her eight month romance with the baseball player. According to BettyConfidential.com, A-Rod wants to keep things from getting “too clingy too fast” the way they did with Hudson.
