Lindsay Lohan Crashes Car

Lindsay Lohan Crashes Car
Another Car Crash and New Legal Issues for Lindsay Lohan

At the tender age of 25, this starlet has seen more trouble than her years warrant. Chock it up to starting in the insulated world of film as a child, where she was probably taught that she could get anything she wanted if she so long as she acted on command. If you’ve seen any of her trial footage you’ll no doubt notice that she is the picture of contrition. Although this act may have netted her community service once, her failure to appear to serve it led to her eventual incarceration. You’ve got to love the circus surrounding celebrity justice.

In any case, crashing a car is not necessarily in violation of her current probation (as long as she wasn’t drunk). But lying to a police officer certainly is, and according to reports of the incident, that’s exactly what happened. After allegedly rear-ending a dump truck in Santa Monica, Lohan and her assistant exited the vehicle on the driver’s side, after which the actress told police that her assistant was behind the wheel at the time of the accident. Later, however, her assistant told a different story, claiming that it was actually Lohan herself driving at the time of the accident, a story which was corroborated by the driver of the truck. Although Lohan wasn’t under arrest at the time she lied to police, making it unlikely that the incident will lead to her probation being revoked, she could still end up being arrested, which could definitely prove problematic. Lindsay Lohan Reportedly Lied To Cops About Car Crash

According to TMZ, the problem-plagued actress lied to local authorities and claimed she was not driving the Porsche that crashed into a truck on the Pacific Coast Highway on Friday. Sources told the website that while Lohan was being treated for minor bumps and bruises at the hospital, she told officers from the Santa Monica Police Department that she was a passenger in the Porsche and her assistant was driving. That statement reportedly does not corroborate with the one Lohan's assistant gave to the police, which named Lohan as the driver at the time of the collision.

TMZ claims that the full-length police report will include Lohan's alleged fib, which might trigger a probation violation in her shoplifting case, which could mean potential jail time for Lohan if she did obstruct justice and provide false information to authorities. Several witnesses to the car accident told the website that after the crash, Lohan and her assistant both got out of the car on the passenger side. [mtv.com]

Lindsay’s cracking on with her film role and still ignoring the crash mess

At the end of last week, Li-Lo was involved in an accident which resulted in her Porsche being remodelled into something that looked like it had come straight from the set of a Transformers film.

She was taken to the UCLA Medical Centre apparently where doctors performed tests. But she decided to go straight back to film her latest project Liz & Dick afterwards, which is what she was on her way to when the accident happened.

Since then there’s been all sorts of rumours about stuff like Lindsay telling police her assistant was driving the car when it collided with a truck on the Pacific Coast Highway just before noon / both Lindsay and the assistant climbing out of the passenger side after the crash / the truck driver claiming it was Li-Lo who was driving. Ouch! Lindsay Lohan's stage make-up fails to conceal bruises sustained in car crash... as she continues work on Liz & Dick

Once again Lindsay was dressed-to-the-nines to play Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime movie. The star looked glamourous in a yellow sailor style dress with burgundy spotted necktie, a fur coat and some kitten heel stilettos. Her hair was coiffed in a typical Taylor-style, a shorter curly shoulder length do.

Her day back on set comes after it was revealed that police confiscated alcohol in the trunk of the car she is accused of totalling on Friday, according to reports.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ the actress had a plastic water bottle filled with alcohol in the rented Porsche that ploughed into a truck in Santa Monica. Fortunately for Lindsay, who is on probation from an unrelated incident, it is not a violation in the state of California to drive with an open container in the trunk. [dailymail.co.uk]
