True Blood Premiere 2012

True Blood Season 5 Spoiler Guide
Season 5 will pick up right where season 4 left off, with Sookie holding Tara in the kitchen.

Alan Ball, Kristin Bauer and Alexander Skarsgard have all stated in various interviews that we’ll see a flashback to when Eric turned Pam into a vampire.

Although season 5 is based on Dead as a Doornail, Alan Ball said that season 5 will combine elements from multiple books much more than in previous seasons (in other words, we could see events from books 6-?).

A major character introduced in Dead as a Doornail is Quinn. No word yet on whether he’ll appear on the show, but we do have some casting suggestions.

We will not see zombies in season 5, but the writing staff are researching “lesser known” supernatural creatures to appear.[true-blood.net]

Moyer of ‘True Blood’ does directing

After Moyer shadowed True Blood directors last year, Ball decided the actor was ready. “It’s a very strong episode,” says Ball. “He directed a sex scene that might be the hottest sex scene we’ve ever had on the show.”

“I didn’t get the easiest of episodes,” concedes Moyer, who was charged with Episode 8, which involves complicated flashbacks. “I was terrified — not of being able to do the job, but I was scared of how the other actors would react to me telling them what to do.” But “they were so supportive. It is a giant family, and there were times when I knew they had my back.”

Of course, “I got a bit of sass from the wife,” he says with a grin. “She was like, ‘Oh, my God, this director is such a diva.’ ” (The show has shot around her pregnancy.) Moyer teared up when Paquin gave him a book full of stills from his episode, signed by the cast and crew. [tucsoncitizen.com]

'True Blood' premiere: Tara turns vamp

It’s been no secret that Tara was a vamp hater. She even joined Marnie, the witch, on her mission to kill off the bloodsuckers last season. But after being shot and murdered by Debbie Pelt, the jealous werewolf, Sookie Stackhouse and Lafayette Reynolds felt their only choice to save their loved one was to turn Tara.

Pam Swynford De Beaufort happened to be at the wrong place at the right time. The vamp agreed to turn Tara under one condition. "If you can use your magic hands  ... whatever power it is you have over Eric to fix what's broken between us, and you'll still owe me one, you have a deal,” she told Sookie. Sookie agreed.

Desperate for Tara’s life, even an immortal one, Sookie and Lafayette dug her up with Pam and waited for the next night. In the meantime, the pair cleaned up evidence of Debbie’s murder. Although Lafayette told Sookie they should call the cops and say it was self-defense, Sookie insisted that she had time to think of her actions. [newsday.com]
